Our Software Maintenance Service assures that your original license investment will keep its business value while ensuring your access to the latest software releases, technical support, and ability to purchase add-on products.

Renew your subscription

Software Maintenance Service is an annual subscription base program. Instead of paying for each new major software release separately, you can pay a flat and scheduled subscription fee. A one-year Software Maintenance subscription is included in all new product licenses.

Renewal of the subscription is optional, but it will ensure continued access to the following benefits:

Software Updates
The latest upgrades to your MATLAB & Simulink products – with releases packed with new features and performance improvements twice a year
Technical Support
Technical support in English and Hungarian via telephone, email, and the web
Web Access
Online and cloud offerings such as:
  • MATLAB Online - access to MATLAB and Simulink from any standard web browser
  • MATLAB Drive - a common cloud-based storage location for your MATLAB files
  • MATLAB Mobile - access to MATLAB from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device
Add-On Products
The ability to purchase add-on products and a full range of license administration services through License Centre
Bug Fixes
Bug fixes that have been created within two years following the latest software update
License Management Support
Service that makes it easier for you to manage your software license focus, transfer your products, or convert your license options

Workarounds within a reasonable time for any material programming errors directly attributable to COMSOL
Bug Fixes
Bug fixes that have been created within two years following the latest software update
License Management Support
Service that focuses on helping you in managing your licenses, transferring products, or converting license options; it also includes support with the replacement of license files to enable changes in use of the programs, including changes in hardware running the programs, to the extent permitted by the applicable license type
Software Maintenance Service does not include:
  • installation and maintenance of your operating system, operating system configuration and hardware support, cluster operating system installation, and cluster configuration and hardware support
  • the use of COMSOL application programming interfaces or the interaction of the programs with software products in instances where our contractual obligations may prohibit us from supporting that use or interaction
  • maintaining the compatibility of the programs with operating systems or hardware systems not on the market at the time the programs were released

*In no event shall our maintenance obligations extend to sublicensees of the CSL or ASL versions of the programs.
